McGrath Foundation Mission
Every day, we work towards realising Jane’s vision: for every family experiencing breast cancer to have access to the support of a breast care nurse, no matter where they live or financial situation. We’re also focused on increasing breast awareness in young people, particularly in young women with our national breast education initiative ‘Curve Lurve’.
McGrath Breast Care Nurses help families in Australia through breast cancer by providing invaluable physical, psychological and emotional support from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment. This support is provided free of charge and can be accessed through self-referral. Since 2005, we’ve placed 110 McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia and supported 44,000 families through the challenges of breast cancer.
